ABOUT

Chick-fil-A’s Purpose

Our founder Truett Cathy once said “We should be about more than just selling chicken. We should be a part of our customers’ lives and the communities in which we serve.” For this reason, our mission at Chick-fil-A Florence is “Working together to love and serve others.”

Why we’re closed on Sundays

Our founder, Truett Cathy, made the decision to close on Sundays in 1946 when he opened his first restaurant in Hapeville, Georgia. Having worked seven days a week in restaurants open 24 hours, Truett saw the importance of closing on Sundays so that he and his employees could set aside one day to rest and worship if they choose - a practice we uphold today.

Brynn Albretsen

After operating her first Chick-fil-A in a mall in Edison, New Jersey, Brynn (then Gilbreath) met and married Mike Albretsen. In 2008, Brynn and Mike moved back to Brynn’s hometown of Florence, AL to be the Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Florence. Along with their two children, Rane and Mac, they have been a fixture in the community ever since. They are actively involved in everything from local Community Theatre, Shoals Chamber of Commerce and Florence Rotary Club, to Shoals Scholar Dollars, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Florence Police Foundation and Safeplace of NW Alabama.
